Eucharistic Festival, Sunday, 3rd November, 1940              

Fifteen passenger and one Departmental Special are required for this service. Trains will be made up as under leaving Flinders-street:- The first five (5) trains on the forward journey must be composed of engine (tender first), Z van, 7 good capacity bogie cars and bogie van. Seven-car trains (Electric Stock) to be made available for the balance. The first passenger Special for the general public will leave Flinders-street. No. 1 West Platform, about 9.45am. Thereafter Special trains will leave as traffic requires till last Special, at 1.45pm.

As certain trains will be returning during darkness, the cars on the first five forward trains are to be sufficiently gassed. T.R.S. at Rupertswood to arrange for the lighting of those trains which are not expected to reach Melbourne in good daylight. Victorian Railways, Oct 24, 1940.
